President's Cup 2012

Last December 16th, Nomads Sports Club held it’s annual President’s Cup lawn bowls competition. This year, 10 teams participated and separated in to two groups with each team playing four first round matches in a round robin style format. 

The President’s team consisted of current president Jena Fetalino, joined by former club presidents Roger Dimmell and Matt Freeston. The final had the Dream Team ( Andrew Todd, Tuggy Sidi, Joanna Sidi and Maie) defeat the defending champions Nomads’ B” Team ( Andy, Conny Dolonius, Iain Sinclair and Noynoy) by only one shot.

We look forward to next year’s competition, which will take place on Sunday, December 15th 2013

Special thanks also to the Captain, Paul Bleckly , who organized the event, recruiting players, selecting the teams and choosing the menu with the Manila Club. The Captain initiated this hugely popular social event 5 years ago, but the future will now be in the hands of Andrew Todd, who takes over the Captaincy of the Lawn Bowls Section, effective from the middle of April 2013.
