Carabaos had another successful year in the year of the Dragon with enrollment in the Nomads Junior Football Academy at an all-time high in the six years of its existence. Around a hundred players are registered making children’s football the club’s biggest section.

The Nomads teams participated in many local tournaments throughout Metro Manila and hosted a few in the club.

The Nomads Monkeys (2003 Team) and the Girls 2000 team won their respective divisions in the recent Nomads Challenge Cup held in the club last month.

The Girls 2000 team won every tournament they participated in during the 2012 calendar, including the inaugural Kaya Cup held at the Polo Club.

The Boys 2000 Team won the Nuvali Cup in Laguna, and the EIS Cup (unfortunately this was contested).

The Nomads U-19 also got the chance to play the Philippine Azkals U-19 team in a very entertaining match in front of a large crowd held at Nomads in October. Shannon Arthur represented the Philippines playing for the Girls U-16 team against national teams from Thailand , Australia and Myanmar , while Mathew Custodio was selected to play for the Philippine Boys U-16 team. Andrew Hails was chosen to play for the RIFA Select team that recently traveled to Singapore.

Stacy Arthur, Chloe Hails and Kristine Cosgrove were selected to play for Manila Schools RIFA 1999 in the Philippines schools national tournament in Bacolod at the National (Panad) Stadium. Stacy Arthur then was selected to play for the Philippines U13 in Vietnam.

The Nomads Boys 96 Team won over Soccerro FC 4-0 in the newly formed youth league which started November 24th.

2012 was a great year for the Junior Football Academy, and we look forward to continued success and development in 2013.
